Balamban is a 1st income class Filipino township in the province of Cebu . It has 87,177 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census).
The municipality is located on the west coast of the island of Cebu opposite the municipality of Calatrava on the island of Negros , separated by the Tanon Strait . It is about 64 km northwest of Cebu City , its neighboring communities are Asturias in the north, Cebu City in the east and Toledo City in the south.
