Amore traditore ( BWV 203) is a secular cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach .

construction

Amore traditore and Non sa che sia dolore (BWV 209) are the only surviving cantatas by Bach on Italian texts, although in both cases no original autographs have survived. The cantata consists of two arias in da capo form, which are connected by a secco recitative.
