Wünschet Jerusalem Glück ( BWV Appendix 4a) is a lost sacred cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach , which he composed in Leipzig and performed there on June 27, 1730 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Confessio Augustana . The text of this Bach cantata comes from Christian Friedrich Henrici (also called Picander ), the music has been lost.
The opening movement and both arias are probably parodies of the council election cantata Wünschet Jerusalem Glück, BWV Anh. 4 .
