Blessed is Confidence ( BWV Appendix 1) is a lost sacred cantata by Johann Sebastian Bach , which he composed in Leipzig and probably performed there on July 15, 1725 on the seventh Sunday after Trinity . The text may come from Erdmann Neumeister , the music has been lost. It may be identical to the cantata of the same name by Georg Philipp Telemann (TWV 1: 617).
