Altenkirchen Office (Nassau)

The Nassau Office of Altenkirchen was an administrative unit that existed from 1803 to 1806 in the territory of the Principality of Nassau-Usingen and from 1806 to 1815 in the Duchy of Nassau . The administrative seat was in Altenkirchen in the Westerwald ; the office was initially subordinate to the government of Wiesbaden and from 1809 to the administrative district Ehrenbreitstein . The office included the three parishes Almersbach , Altenkirchen and Mehren , to which 68 localities belonged.
