Mayor's Office Fredeburg
The Prussian office of Fredeburg is the successor to the medieval office and court of Fredeburg in the Bilstein quarter in the Duchy of Westphalia . Around 1840 four parishes with nine tax communities belonged to the mayor's office. The towns and places of residence are according to statistics from Johann Georg von Viebahn , who specifically lists special places and mills in a way that deviates from the other localization (contemporary notation):

- City of Fredeburg: Old Town , Neustadt , Amtsgütchen (Mahlmühle) and Im Buchhagen (chapel in the forest, without residents).
In 1818 a total of 3,100 people lived in the mayor's office in Fredeburg. According to the location and distance table of the government district of Arnsberg , the mayor's office had a total of 3,534 inhabitants in 1838, which was divided into 3,499 Catholic, 30 Protestant and five Jewish community members. The living quarters of the mayor's office comprised a total of 26 churches, twelve public buildings / schools, 505 residential houses, 13 factories and mills and 445 agricultural buildings.
Office Fredeburg
In 1843 the mayor's office of Fredeburg was dissolved due to the Prussian rural community order for the province of Westphalia from 1841 and a new Westphalian office was established. The parishes of Berghausen, Wormbach and Dorlar were each merged into rural communities and Wormbach was assigned to the Schmallenberg office. For this purpose, the rural communities founded at the same time Bödefeld-Land , Freiheit Bödefeld and Rarbach came to the Fredeburg office.
In 1887 the office consisted of the following municipalities:
