BCE Inc. (formerly Bell Canada Enterprises ) is a Canadian company based in Montreal , Québec that provides telecommunications services. It is listed in the S & P / TSX 60 share index. Today the company employs around 48,000 people.

history

In 1877, Alexander Graham Bell took over 75% of his father's patents and rights. As a result, Alexander Graham Bell decided to start a telecommunications company in Canada with his best friend, the Reverend Thomas Henderson. The company was one of the largest suppliers in Canada.

  • Bell Home Phone / Bell Téléphonie : landline telephone connections also VoIP.
  • Bell Mobility / Bell Mobilité : Bell Mobility operates a cellular network in all provinces.
  • Bell TV / Bell Télé : (Bell ExpressVu) offers satellite TV and PayTV with more than 500 channels.
  • Bell Internet : offers DSL Internet access with a speed between 500 Kbit / s to 25 Mbit / s.
  • Bell Media : With Bell Media, Bell Canada operates around 35 radio stations and around 50 television stations. Bell Media emerged from the acquisition of CTV Globemedia.
