Baltimore Bullets was the name of an American basketball franchise from Baltimore , Maryland , which played in the ABL from 1944 to 1947 , in the BAA from 1947 to 1949 and in the NBA from 1949 to 1954 .
history
The team was founded in 1944 and initially played in the American Basketball League (ABL) until 1947 . From the 1947–1948 season, the Bullets played for two years in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) before this league took over the National Basketball League (NBL) and the league was renamed the National Basketball Association (NBA). In the newly formed NBA, the Bullets played from 1949 to 1954 before the team disbanded on November 27, 1954. At this time, the Bullets recorded statistics with 3 wins and 11 losses in the 1954-1955 season.
