The 1973 South American Basketball Championship , the 25th South American Basketball Championship , took place between July 26 and August 7, 1973 in Bogotá , Colombia , which was the second time the championship was held. The winner was the national team of Brazil , which won the title for the ninth time, for the second time in a row.
