The South American Basketball Championship for women 2006 , the thirtieth South American Basketball Championship for women , took place between August 1 and 5, 2006 in Asunción ( Paraguay ), which hosted the championship for the third time. The winner was the Brazilian team , unbeaten for the twenty-first time and for the eleventh time in a row, the South American Women's Championship.
