The 1967 South American Basketball Championship for women , the eleventh South American Basketball Championship for women , was held between October 26 and November 7, 1967 in Cali , Colombia , which hosted the championship for the first time. The winner was Brazil , which won the South American Women's Championship for the fourth time and for the second time in a row. Thanks to its success, Brazil was able to catch up with the previous record winner Chile .
The game was played in the form of a round-robin tournament with seven teams. Each team played against each other exactly once, so that each team played six games (a total of 21 games were played). There were two points for each win and one point for a defeat. The team with the highest points was the South American women's basketball champions in 1967.
