Consultative surgeon

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Advisory surgeons are medical civilians or reserve officers in the service of German armed forces . Until 1907 they were called consulting surgeons / doctors .

Empire

During World War I , every army and corps was advised by a surgeon , internist , pathologist and hygienist . Other disciplines were represented in the war stage system .

Wehrmacht

At the beginning of the Second World War , the Wehrmacht called on specialists from all directions to serve in the army (Wehrmacht) . They were assigned to the army groups , army groups and military district doctors as consulting doctors . The BA at the Army Sanitary Inspector coordinated and represented the specialist groups. The chair holders and their qualified senior physicians (as still today) had a special responsibility. As a BA, each army doctor was supported by three surgeons, an internist, a hygienist, a neurologist and a pathologist.

In 1944, the Army Medical Inspectorate in Berlin had BÄ for almost all fields such as ophthalmology , surgery , dermatology , forensic medicine , hygiene , tropical medicine , internal medicine , ear, nose and throat medicine , orthopedics , pathology , pharmacology , pharmacy , psychiatry , tuberculosis , military psychology , Physics and military medicine .

As civilians , the BÄ only had the right to propose , no authority to issue orders and commands ; but most of them were reactivated reserve officers who were involved with ranks in all rights and duties of the military hierarchy.
