DFB Cup 2016/17

The AOK State Cup 2016/17 was the 27th edition of the Brandenburg State Cup for men in amateur football. The FC Energie Cottbus sat down on May 25, 2017 in the final against FSV 63 Luckenwalde with 2: 0 by and was, for the seventh time, national cup winners. With this victory, FC Energie Cottbus qualified for the DFB-Pokal 2017/18 .

2With the promotion of SpVgg Blau-Weiß 90 Vetschau to the Landesliga Süd, TSG Lübbenau 63 (KOL) was qualified as an inferior finalist for the state cup.
3With the promotion of SC Blau-Weiß Energie Prenzlau to the Landesliga Nord, Schönower SV (LK) was qualified for the regional cup as an inferior finalist.

Game mode

The Brandenburg State Cup 2016/17 was played in the knockout system . An attempt is first made to play a winner in 90 minutes. If it is then a tie, there will be a thirty-minute extension, as in other cup competitions. If there is still no winner after that, this will then be determined in the penalty shoot-out according to the known pattern.
