Braux is a French commune with 108 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aube department in the Grand Est region (before 2016: Champagne-Ardenne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Bar-sur-Aube and the canton of Brienne-le-Château (until 2015: canton of Chavanges ). The inhabitants are called Brauxois .

Braux is located in the Champagne sèche region , around 40 kilometers northeast of Troyes . Braux is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Donnement in the north and northwest, Balignicourt in the north, Pars-lès-Chavanges in the northeast, Yèvres-le-Petit in the east, Rosnay-l'Hôpital in the southeast, Bétignicourt in the south, Chalette-sur-Voire in Southwest and Aulnay in the west.
