The place belongs to the arrondissement Bar-sur-Aube and the canton Bar-sur-Aube . In addition, the municipality is part of the community association Communauté de communes de Soulaines, founded in 1993 . The inhabitants are called Conivans / Conivannes .
geography
Colombé-la-Fosse is about 53 kilometers east of Troyes and 7 kilometers northeast of the small town of Bar-sur-Aube in the east of the Aube department. The municipality consists of the village of Colombé-la-Fosse and the Ferme de Rome estate. The river La Bresse crosses the municipality in the south of the village .
Neighboring municipalities are Maisons-lès-Soulaines in the north, Thors and Saulcy in the north-east, Colombé-le-Sec in the east, south-east and south, Voigny in the south-west, Arrentières in the west and Engente in the north-west.
history
Until the French Revolution, Colombé-la-Fosse was within the province of Champagne . The community belonged to the district of Bar-sur-Aube from 1793 to 1801. It has been part of the Bar-sur-Aube arrondissement since 1801. From 1793 to 1801 the place was assigned to the canton of Ville sur Terre. From 1801 to 2015, the municipality was within the canton of Soulaines-Dhuys .
