Residential building

The residential building Brucknerallee 96 is in the Rheydt district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).

The building was built in 1898. It was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach on March 6, 1989 under No. B 087 .

architecture

In 1898 this house was built together with house No. 94 . The three-storey, two-axle, gable-roofed , eaves- facing house, like no. 94, can be entered via a short flight of stairs in an entrance niche on the left front side (no. 94 left). Two windows, just closed like the entrance, illuminate the living rooms on the mezzanine floor .

The first floor is opened over a narrow cornice through a high rectangular window for the left (no. 94 right) building axis and next to it with a balcony window and door (no. 94: three-sided bay window). The latter elements are only separated by a narrow pillar with a half-column template and summarized by a frame-like stucco and ornamental gable top, a motif that is repeated for two windows on the left building axis on the second floor. House No. 94 accordingly has a balcony on the right side, but framed with the same architectural sculpture , which sits on the bay window . The two inner axes of the semi-detached house No. 94/96 are each crowned by an ornamental gable of a dormer on the top floor , which interrupts the strong eaves.

Despite the changes to the facade, the protection is primarily in the public interest for urban planning reasons. But the house is also worth protecting as a single object.
