The Buddyprisen (German Buddy Prize ) is Norway's most important jazz prize . The prize, which has been awarded annually to a jazz musician in the country by the Norsk Jazzforum (Norwegian Jazz Forum) in Oslo since 1956, honors musicians who are excellent performers and who are otherwise significantly involved in Norwegian jazz.

The price is also called a buddy . It consists of a sculpture depicting the trumpeter Buddy Bolden and designed by the sculptor Lise Frogg , and since 1987 an additional travel grant, which in 2013 amounted to NKR 50,000. The award will be generally in the jazz club Bare Jazz held in Oslo.
