Binningen Castle

The Castle Binningen is a Outbound hilltop castle on the 510  m above sea level. NN high church hill of the district Binningen of the municipality Hilzingen in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Wuerttemberg .

The likely castle was mentioned as a tower in 1482/83. Because of the risk of the area slipping, the tower was demolished after 1695, as it also endangered the neighboring church. It is possible that Binningen Castle , built between 1705 and 1707 by the Barons von Hornstein, was built as a successor to the castle.

No structural remains have been preserved from the former castle complex.
