The castle Kapf is the ruin of a hill fort on the 545  m above sea level. NHN high Kapf 1100 meters west of the church in the district of Bietingen in the community of Gottmadingen in the district of Constance in Baden-Württemberg in Germany .

Kapf Castle is a prehistoric fortification. A 127 meter long wall and moat remains of the former castle complex have been preserved.

location

The remains of the hill fort are located 1,100 meters west of the village church of Bietingen, consisting of a slope reinforcement 10 to 20 m below the wooded summit, which consists of a surrounding embankment with a two to five meter wide terrace behind it and a 125 m long wall composed on the northeast side.

history

Even today, despite the excavations carried out after 1920, it has not been clarified whether it is a Neolithic , a Bronze Age or an Urnfield Age complex.
