The castle Wahlwies , even Bauer guard called, is a Outbound hilltop castle on the 589  m above sea level. NHN high Roßberg about 1000 meters southwest of the church of Wahlwies , a district of Stockach in the Baden-Württemberg district of Konstanz in Germany .

A double ditch , 15 meters wide and 4 meters deep, has been preserved from the former castle complex, which can be attributed to a lower aristocratic family suspected in the 13th century . According to local tradition, the epithet Bauernwacht goes back to a refuge for the local farmers during the Thirty Years' War .
