The rapping Castle is probably a Outbound Spur castle on 620 m above sea level. NN northeast of the district of Zimmerholz in the municipality of Engen in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg .
The Rappenburg is probably a medieval castle, the mountain name Rappenburg suggests. It was about 300 meters northeast of the local church of Zimmerholz on a mountain spur that protruded to the south. Historical news about the facility are not known.
This castle complex was not identical to the local castle Zimmerholz, which was located on the western edge of the village and whose nobility had been named since 1251.
