Burg Räuberschlösschen , also just Räuberschlösschen , Alte Burg Freudenberg or Teufelsburg , is an abandoned hilltop castle in the Freudenberg district in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .
history
In the 12./13. In the 19th century, the castle was expanded and remodeled. The castle was owned by Carolingians or Bishop Heinrich III. accepted by Würzburg. The castle was already considered abandoned in the early 13th century.
investment
It was a trapezoidal system. The core of the facility lay on a ridge about 80 meters long and up to 45 meters wide. Presumably the old castle was a predecessor of the castle Freudenberg ( new castle ) about 600 meters above . Remnants of the wall and a moat are still preserved from the Räuberschlösschen Castle .
