Princely court of Wertheim
The Fürstliche Hofhaltung Wertheim , also Rosenbergsche Hofhaltung , is a former castle in the core town of Wertheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg . The building at Mühlengasse 26 now serves as the town hall as well as an event location and registry office .
history
The castle was built in the 16./17. Erected in the 18th century on the site of a former town hall of the Bronnbach Monastery . In 1749 and in the 19th century, extensions and renovations were carried out. The castle was once owned by the princes of Löwenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort . It served as a residence for the Catholic line. It is a simple, two-wing, three-storey building with a mansard roof.
