Castle Lichtel is an Outbound castle in Lichtel , a dwelling place in the district of Creglinger district Oberrimbach in Main-Tauber-Kreis in Baden-Wuerttemberg .
history
Lichtel Castle was mentioned in 1235. The owners were the lords of Hohenlohe in the 13th century and those of Lichtel. In 1381 the castle was partially destroyed in the city war and finally in 1408. Only remnants of the Lichtel Castle remain in the tower of the Church of St. Nicholas, a late Romanesque-early Gothic building, and two moats .
