The Klinkards- und Rankenhof is a castle-like former mansion in Wertheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

The Klinkards- und Rankenhof was built in the 15th century. It was once owned by Messrs Klinkardt von Vockenrot . In the years 1540 and 1889 extensions and renovations were carried out.

investment

It is a multi-part ensemble, consisting of two solid buildings (Klinkhardshof and Rankenhof) from the 15th century, with a round tower from the 16th century, a stair tower and a neo-Gothic flight of steps in front of it . The buildings in the Rathausgasse 10 are available as other monument under monument protection .

use

The Klinkards- und Rankenhof was used as the former town hall. Today it serves as a museum and contains collections of the Counts of Wertheim and the Otto Modersohn - Cabinet .
