The castle Waiblingen is an Outbound hill fort on a promontory above the Kocher in Waiblingen , a district of Fachsenfeld in the city of Aalen in Ostalbkreis in Baden-Württemberg .

history

In 1229 the castle is mentioned with an Ulricus de Wabelingen . The basic rule was first with the Hohenstaufen , after the end of the Hohenstaufen Waiblingen and Fachsenfeld went to the Counts of Oettingen . In 1401 the villages went to the Lords of Woellwarth . In the 16th century, the lords of Waiblingen emigrated, where they appear with the same coat of arms in the service of Landgrave Philip of Hesse .
