description
The castle stood in the Gewann Burghalde west of the village. In this valley there are large rocks of the Dossinger valley , one of the most rugged dry valleys of the Härtsfeld. The castle was probably located on these rock formations. Further evidence of the castle are the tubs Vorderes Burgfeld, Hinteres Burgfeld, Burgholz, Hinteres Burgholz and Beim Burgholz. There are also the street names Burghaldenweg, Burgstraße and Schloßhalde.
