The Postal Agnes Castle is an Outbound high medieval hilltop castle on 620 m above sea level. NN on Eselssteige on the northwestern edge of the Bohlerberg west of Reichenbach , a district of the Westhausen community in the Ostalbkreis ( Baden-Württemberg ). Reichenbach Castle was located on a spur about a kilometer and a quarter to the southeast .
The castle was probably built by the Lords of Westhausen, who were named local nobility in the 13th and 14th centuries. The castle was later owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg. - The name of the castle is said to go back to the noble and benevolent "maid Agnes" von Westhausen.
The former 35 x 25 meter castle complex, surrounded on three sides by ditches up to 6 meters deep , is still evidence of hollows of buildings or a cistern as well as remains of walls and moats.
