Camilo da Silva Sanvezzo , called Camilo , (born July 21, 1988 in Presidente Prudente ) is a Brazilian soccer player who has played for Querétaro FC in Mexico since January 2014 .
Career
Camilo played in Brazil for the Oeste Paulista EC in his hometown Presidente Prudente and from 2009 for Corinthians Alagoano . In the summer of 2009 Camilo moved to the Maltese first division club Qormi , the contact to the club came through his former teammate Lucas Ramón dos Santos , who informed Camilo of the club's search for a striker. In Malta, the attacker scored 24 goals in 22 league appearances in the 2009/10 season , making them top scorer in the Maltese Premier League . At the end of the season, the club only failed to qualify for a UEFA competition for the first time in a play-off game against Sliema Wanderers tied on points . Camilo was also successful several times in the cup competition and reached the final with Qormi, in which a penalty he converted could not prevent the 1: 2 defeat against Valletta . At the end of the season he was also named the best striker in the league before he left Malta again after a year and moved to Korea in the K-League at Gyeongnam FC . His stay there was short-lived, however, after seven missions without a hit he left Korea at the end of 2010.
In February Camilo completed a trial training at the Canadian MLS club Vancouver Whitecaps and finally received a contract in March 2011. In his starting line-up for the Whitecaps, he scored two goals in stoppage time against Sporting Kansas City, securing one point for his team. Camilo became the first player in MLS history to score two goals in stoppage time and was named Player of the Week for his performance.
In the 2013 MLS season, he scored the most goals in the regular season.
In January 2014, Camilo moved to the Mexican first division club Querétaro FC .
