Corina Eichenberger-Walther (2007)

Corina Eichenberger-Walther (born October 14, 1954 in Aarau , entitled to reside in Beinwil am See , Bern and Kölliken ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

Life

Eichenberger-Walther studied law and graduated in 1978 with a licentiate . In 1981 she passed the bar exam. She has been working as a partner in law firms since 1982, and since 2003 also as a mediator.

From 1993 to 2007 Eichenberger-Walther was a member of the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau , which she presided over in 2005/06. She has been a member of the National Council since the 2007 elections . She slipped in for Christine Egerszegi, who was elected to the Council of States . On the council, she was a member of the business audit commission and the security policy commission, and from 2010 to 2011 she was also a member of the judicial commission for around a year. She did not run again in the 2019 elections.

Eichenberger-Walther held numerous other mandates in business, associations and foundations during her career. Among other things, she was President of the Swiss Nuclear Forum from 2009 to 2014. Until 2013 she was a board member of the Aargauische Kantonalbank . She has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nagra since 2015 . She has been President of the Switzerland-Israel Society since 2012 . After leaving the National Council, she was also elected President of the Institute Council of the Federal Institute for Intellectual Property . She is a member of the Basel Chamber of Commerce (HKBB) and a member of the board of directors of the private bank Dreyfus Söhne & Cie.

Eichenberger-Walther is widowed and has two children. She lives in Kölliken.
