The 2016/17 season in the DVV-Pokal began with the round of 16 on October 26, 2016 and ended with the finals on January 29, 2017 in the SAP Arena in Mannheim . The defending champions were the Berlin Recycling Volleys for men and Dresdner SC for women. In the final, the women from Allianz MTV Stuttgart prevailed 3-2 against Schwerin SC . In the men's category, VfB Friedrichshafen won the trophy 3-1 against defending champion Berlin Recycling Volleys.
