Daniel Sikorski (born November 2, 1987 in Warsaw ) is an Austrian football player who also has Polish citizenship.
Career
societies
Emerging from the youth of SV Waidhofen an der Thaya , Sikorski moved to the St. Pölten Football Academy in 2002 and joined the second team of FC Bayern Munich in the 2005/06 season , for which he was used 67 times in three seasons and scored 16 goals in the Regionalliga Süd scored. He made his debut on August 6, 2005 (1st matchday) in a 1-0 home win over SSV Jahn Regensburg , when he came on for Florian Müller in the 58th minute . For the 2010/11 season he moved to the Polish first division club and record champions Górnik Zabrze , with whom he signed a three-year contract until the end of June 2013. After only one season, however, in which Sikorski scored six goals for Górnik Zabrze in 26 league games, he moved to the 2011/12 season for a transfer fee of around 400,000 euros to league rivals and capital club Polonia Warsaw . There he was only used regularly at the beginning, was later only a supplementary player and was then only used in the second team, which plays in the separate youth league Młoda Ekstraklasa . In mid-June 2012, the player and the club agreed to terminate his contract early at the end of the 2011/12 season. At the end of June 2012, the top club Wisła Krakow announced the commitment of Sikorski for the 2012/13 season . He signed a contract valid until the end of June 2013 with an option for two more years. After his contract was not renewed, he signed a two-year contract with the Swiss first division club FC St. Gallen . During his first assignment in the FCSG's U-21 youth team, however, he tore a cruciate ligament and had to take a break for several months. On September 14, 2014 (8th match day) he finally made his debut in the professional team, which scored a 2-2 draw in the away game against FC Vaduz ; while he was substituted on for Albert Bunjaku in the 76th minute. He scored his only goal for FC St. Gallen in a 2-2 draw against FC Basel , making it 1-1 in the meantime. At the end of the 2014/15 season, the expiring contract was no longer extended; Sikorski was signed by the Austrian Bundesliga club SV Ried , with whom he received a contract valid until June 30, 2017. He made his debut for the club on July 25, 2015 (1st matchday) in the 3-0 defeat in the away game against SK Rapid Wien and scored his first goal on August 8, 2015 (3rd matchday) in the 1: 4- Loss in the away game against SV Mattersburg with the goal to make it 1-1 in the 23rd minute.
After the 2015/16 season he left SV Ried. In September 2016 he moved to the Russian second division club FK Chimki . He made his debut on September 26, 2016 (14th matchday) in a goalless draw in the away game against Baltika Kaliningrad ; He scored his first league goal on October 2, 2016 (15th matchday) in a 2-1 win at home against the second representative of Zenit Saint Petersburg with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 28th minute. After his last league game on November 26, 2016 (24th matchday), he was no longer used, so he joined the Romanian first division club Gaz Metan Mediaș at the beginning of 2017 . After the 2017/18 season, he left the club and moved to Famagusta for league rivals Nea Salamis . After the 2018/19 season he left Nea Salamis. In September 2019 he moved to Spain to the third division CD Guijuelo . After 12 appearances for the club in Segunda División B , he left Guijuelo after the 2019/20 season.
National team
Daniel Sikorski was a member of the national team of the ÖFB , which was able to advance to the semi-finals of the U-19 European Championship, which was held in Poland from July 18 to 29, 2006 .
