Dream Theater live in Rio de Janeiro , 2008

This discography is an overview of the musical works of Dream Theater , an American progressive metal - band . It consists of a demo , 14 studio albums , eight live albums , one extended play , a compilation , 19 singles , 16 so-called "official bootlegs" (official predatory pressures ), eight music videos in the form of VHS, DVD and Blu-ray Disc and 13 instructional videos . According to sources and record awards, she has sold more than 2.2 million records to date, over 2.2 million of them in her home country alone. Dream Theater's most successful release is the Images and Words album, with over 600,000 units sold.

The band currently consists of singer James LaBrie , bassist John Myung , guitarist and singer John Petrucci , keyboardist Jordan Rudess and, since 2011, drummer Mike Mangini .
