Eduardo Dibós Chappuis

Eduardo Dibós Chappuis (born June 22, 1927 in Lima , † October 15, 1973 in Munich ) was a Peruvian politician and racing driver .

Career

From 1970 until his death in 1973 he was mayor of Lima . His father Eduardo Dibós Dammert had also held this office a few years earlier, and his half-brother Iván Dibós was the city's deputy mayor in the 1990s.

He studied mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology . He was particularly active in motorsport in the 1960s and took part in a forerunner of the Daytona 24-hour race in 1964 .

Eduardo Dibós died on October 15, 1973 of a heart attack .
