history

The settlement is noted in the maps from around 1600 by Christoph Vogel as "Efersdorf" in the Hohenfels Office. In 1622 it appears as "Euersdorff" in the land register of the Hohenfels rulership . Towards the end of the Old Kingdom , around 1800, the wasteland consisted of a half courtyard on which the subject Förstl sat.

In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the Großbissendorf tax district was formed in the Parsberg district court (later Parsberg district ) around 1810 . This included the two villages Großbissendorf and Großmittersdorf as well as the desert areas Albertshof , Effersdorf, Harras , Nainhof and Oedenthurn . With the second Bavarian municipal edict of 1818, the rural communities Großbissendorf and Großmittersdorf emerged, with Effersdorf belonging to Großbissendorf. In 1830 both communities were united to form the new community Großbissendorf. This was incorporated into Hohenfels on May 1, 1978. Effersdorf has been an officially named district of Hohenfels since then.
