history
Gunzenhof was first mentioned in a document in 1290, when Regensburg Bishop Heinrich left two farms there to Kunigunde von Schlüsselberg , widow of Conrad IV von Hohenfels , for usufruct for life. In the Salbuch of the Hohenfels rulership of 1400/10, “Gunzenhofen” with a court is subject to interest; In the Salbuch from 1500 there is already a farm (the Früßmeßhof, 1523 lying deserted) and 3 estates. Around 1600 the place is recorded as "Guntzenhofen" in the maps of Christoph Vogel . The four properties remained until the end of the Old Kingdom around 1800.
In the Kingdom of Bavaria , the Raitenbuch tax district was formed in the Parsberg district court (later Parsberg district ) around 1810 , including the hamlet of Gunzenhof. With the second Bavarian municipal edict of 1818, the rural community of Markstetten was created with twelve places, including Gunzenhof. This community with the last 15 places was incorporated into Hohenfels on May 1, 1978. On January 1, 1983 Gunzenhof was reclassified to the Beratzhausen market in the Regensburg district ; however, a judgment of the Bavarian Administrative Court of November 7, 1984 declared the reclassification null and void. Since then Gunzenhof is finally an officially named district of Hohenfels.
