The 6th World Figure Skating Championship took place on February 10th and 11th, 1901 in Stockholm ( Sweden ).
Again there were only two participants. Four of the six judges came from Sweden, none from the German Empire. Nevertheless, the ratings were balanced. Adams, Pettersson and Westergren saw Salchow in front, Euler, Hansson and Lindquist saw Fuchs in front. After two runner-up world titles, it was the first world title for Salchow.
