The 38th World Figure Skating Championships took place in Stockholm ( Sweden ) from February 13 to 17, 1947 . It was the first world championships after the Second World War . Athletes from Germany , Austria and Japan were not allowed. This exclusion was a hard blow, especially for Austrian figure skating, as Eva Pawlik and Edi Rada would have had great chances of winning medals.
