The Donetsk Archbishop's Exarchate is an Archbishop's Exarchate of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church located in the Ukraine and based in Donetsk .

history

The Archbishop's Exarchate Donetsk-Kharkiv was established on January 11, 2002 by Pope John Paul II from cession of territory from the Apostolic Exarchate Kiev-Vyshhorod . The first exarch was Stepan Menjok CSsR .

On April 2, 2014, the Archbishopric Exarchate Donetsk-Kharkiv was divided into the Archbishopric Exarchates Donetsk and Kharkiv .

The Donetsk Archbishop's Exarchate includes the oblasts of Dnipropetrovsk , Donetsk , Luhansk , Poltava , Zaporizhia and Sumy .
