The Extraliga 2016/17 (official name: tht Extraliga ) was the 25th season of the Czech Extraliga in chess .

Participating teams

For the Extraliga, 1. Novoborský ŠK , Výstaviště Lysá nad Labem , BŠS Frýdek-Místek , ŠK Rapid Pardubice , ŠK Labortech Ostrava , ŠK AD Jičín (to whom the starting right was transferred from AD Mahrla Prague ), ŠK Slavoj Ostrava-Poruba , TJ Ancora Tatran Litovel ŠK Duras BVK and ŠK města Lysá nad Labem qualified the first ten winners of the 2015/16 season, Prestige Photo Unichess were also the winner of the 1st league západ 2015/16 and the ŠK Lokomotiva Brno as the winner of the 1st league východ Raised in 2015/16.

mode

The twelve teams played a simple round-robin tournament , first of all the team points (3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, 0 points for a defeat) decided the placements, then the board points (1 point for a win, 0.5 points for a draw, 0 points for a loss).

Game dates

The competitions took place on October 8 and 9, December 10 and 11, 2016, January 28 and 29, February 25 and 26, and from March 31 to April 2, 2017, with one competition being the ninth Round was played.

Season course

The defending champions 1. Novoborský ŠK and Výstaviště Lysá nad Labem fought a duel for the title, which Novoborský narrowly won. The ŠK Lokomotiva Brno was determined prematurely as relegated, the second relegated was the ŠK AD Jičín , who withdrew his team.
