The final round of the FIFA Women's World Cup 1995 was the second playout of the most important tournament for women's football - national and was from 5 to 18 June 1995 in Sweden held. The Norwegian women won the second Women's World Cup with ease. In six games they only conceded one goal. The best scorer was the Norwegian Ann Kristin Aarønes with six goals, and her compatriot Hege Riise was chosen as the best player of the tournament . The German team lost 2-0 in the final against Norway. For the first time, a female referee is chairing the final of a FIFA competition.
At this World Cup, FIFA tried a "time-out concept". This allowed both teams to take a two-minute break per half to take a short break or to hold tactical meetings.

It wasn't until the 6-1 win against Brazil that they could convince. Sweden, Brazil and Japan faced each other in the preliminary round in 1991, as they did four years before, this time Sweden did the best and was able to achieve second place. Brazil slipped to last place on the last day of the match due to the significant defeat against Germany. Japan qualified for the quarter-finals as the second-best third-placed team.
