Finals

For the final round, Ukraine had initially applied to host games with the Donbass Arena in Donetsk , but then withdrew. Since Ukraine and FIFA world number one Belgium, in addition to four hosts, qualified as the best team and Ukraine could not be in a group with Russia, Ukraine was assigned to the Dutch group. Austria and a team that still has to qualify in March 2020 were drawn. There were only two friendlies against Austria, one of which was won and one lost. There was also no competitive game against the Dutch. Of two friendlies, the first was lost 3-0 in Rotterdam in May 2008 , followed by a 1-1 draw in Ukraine in August 2010

If the Ukrainian team wins the group , they would play against the third in Group D, E or F in Budapest - subject to the retention of the venues - and in second place one day earlier in London against the winner of Group A, e.g. B. Italy. If they were one of the four best group thirds, either the winner of Group F with Germany, world champions France or defending champions Portugal in Bucharest or the winner of Group E with Spain in Glasgow would be opponents in the round of 16.
