Finals

Denmark had applied to host group and knockout games and was accepted for three group games and a round of 16 in Telia Parken . On December 7, 2017, UEFA decided that the group should also be hosted in St. Petersburg in addition to Copenhagen . Since the Russians also qualified for the finals, it was clear even before the draw that Denmark and Russia would play in a group. It was then drawn that Denmark have three and Russia two home games. Because in pot 1, in addition to the Belgians, only the Ukraine was placed as the non-hosting team and they could not be in a group with Russia, the Belgians were assigned to the group with Denmark and Russia even before the draw. Only Finland newcomer to the European Championship was drawn. The Danes first played against the Russians and lost 2-0 at home in February 2012. There were a total of ten games against the previous team of the USSR, of which the Danes could only win one. There was also a draw against the CIS. The record against Belgium, on the other hand, is just as positive with six wins, three draws and four defeats as the record against Finland with 39 wins and ten draws and ten defeats. The last defeat against the Belgians came in August 1989, followed by two wins in qualifying for the 1996 European Championship and a draw in June 2000, shortly before the European Championship. The Danes last lost to the Finns in September 1966, after which there were 16 wins and seven draws.

If the Danish team wins the group, they would play against the third in Group A, D, E or F in Bilbao , subject to the fact that the venues are retained , and the second in Group B a day earlier in the first round of 16 in Amsterdam , e.g. . B. Switzerland. If they were one of the top four group thirds, either the group E winner with Spain or the group F winner with Germany, world champions France or defending champions Portugal would be opponents in the round of 16, where they would then play in Bucharest or Glasgow .
