Footballer of the Year (Canada)
The BMO Canadian Player of the Year has been the best soccer player since 1993 and the best soccer player in Canada since 1994 , recognizing both the achievements in the club and national teams. The two award winners are considered co-winners. Since 2007, the election has been made by the Canadian media and coaches. The record holder is record national player Christine Sinclair with 14 titles, who was awarded for the first time at the age of 17 in 2000 and was elected eleven times in a row between 2004 and 2014. Atiba Hutchinson was voted the most frequently (six times) among men . The 1997, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 and 2004 winners were not determined by the Canadian Association until 2012 . In addition to being voted Footballer of the Year, the Canadian Player Awards have a number of other awards.
