Gehermühle is an officially named, now uninhabited district of the city of Velburg in the Upper Palatinate district of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria .

While the first mill building was directly on the Schwarzen Laber , the successor building was built on the Wiesenackerer Bach ("Mühlbach"). The mill is shown on historical maps approx. 350 m southwest of Oberwiesenacker.

history

In 1326 a "Goreischmul", probably the later Gehermühle, appears in a description of the property of the Kastl monastery . 1404 she is called "Görenmül"; In 1407 the mill was run by a Konrad the "Germüller". In the course of the Bavarian regional reform , the municipality of Oberwiesenacker was incorporated into the city of Velburg and the municipality of Pilsach on May 1, 1978 ; the area of ​​the desert Gehermühle came to Velburg.

Church conditions

The wasteland has belonged to the parish of St. Willibald zu Oberwiesenacker in the diocese of Eichstätt since ancient times . From 1552 to 1626, with Pfalz-Neuburg, the parish and thus also the residents of Gehermühle were Protestant.
