history
The prehistoric discoveries made in caves around St. Kolomann at the end of the 19th century turned out to be forgeries of a certain Federl von St. Kolomann.
As one of several “win places”, the hamlet could have originated as a settlement of Slavic prisoners of war by the Franconian kingdom. “Walkers winds” appears for the first time around 1325/26 in the first description of the property of the Kastl monastery , which had 4 hubs there. Around 1600 the hamlet in the Electoral Palatinate Office of Velburg consisted of 6 goods belonging to the Helfenberg rulership , which had come from the Helfenberg rulership around 1370/80 through the sale of the Ehrenfelsers and in 1399 through the sale of the Kastl monastery to the Count Palatine Ruprecht. At the end of the Old Kingdom , around 1800, St. Colomann, located on the border between the Velburg maintenance office and the Helfenberg rule, consisted of the 3 properties Löchinger, Löchinger and Schön belonging to the Velburg office and 4 from the Helfenberg rule.
In the Kingdom of Bavaria (1806) tax districts were formed according to an ordinance of May 13, 1808 , including the Sankt Wolfgang tax district in the Parsberg district court , to which the villages of Sankt Wolfgang, Sankt Colomann, Helmsricht (habenhof) , Grünthal / Richterhof and Sommertshof were allocated. With the second parish edict of 1818, the rural community of Sankt Wolfgang was created, but as early as 1830 this community was merged with the community of Reichertswinn . The children went to school in the parish of Velburg, where - as in 1836 - they were taught by two teachers.
In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the municipality of Reichertswinn and thus also the hamlet of St. Colomann was incorporated into Velburg on April 1, 1971.

In 1817 the parish was changed to Velburg.
