Ronsolden ( Bavarian : Rahsoln ) is a district of the municipality of Velburg in the Neumarkt district in the Upper Palatinate . The place is about 3.5 km south of Velburg and about 5.3 km north of Parsberg .

history

Excavations in 1885 and 1887 show that the area around Ronsolden was already settled in the Bronze Age. The first church in Ronsolden is mentioned in the yearbooks of the Eichstätt diocese around 1200. In the Wittelsbacher Urbar Ronsolden was first mentioned in a document in 1285. It mentions a fiefdom in Rumsolden , which gave two Metzen Vogthafer as a lease to the Lutzmannstein office . In 1325, an estate in Ronsolden is listed in the land register of the Kastl monastery .

In 1344, the prioress Elsbeth of the Order of Preachers on the Holy Cross in Regensburg sold her property to Ronsolden to Our Lady of Oberweiling . In 1352 Anselm and Henry Glaphenberger the Frauenkirche in Oberweiling sell a Valid from her farm in Ronsolden. In 1411 a Hans Plab from Parsberg sold his estate in Ronsolden to the church in Oberweiling. In 1472 a Haug von Parsberg sold the parish of Klapfenberg and with it the town of Ronsolden to the rule of Velburg. The Walderbach Monastery owned a farm in Ronsolden, for which a letter of inheritance was issued in 1493. In Ronsolden, which only came under the rule of Velburg in the 16th century, there was a similar division of property as in the other villages in this area.

The Catholic branch church of St. Maria and Margaretha, a hall building with a retracted polygonal choir, onion dome and gable roof turret (origins late Romanesque from the 13th century), was built in its current form in 1719.

Together with the towns of Pathal and Freudenricht, Ronsolden was combined into a separate tax district in 1808. Around the year 1820 the community of Ronsolden was formed from the places Raisch ( desert in the current Hohenfels training area ), Pathal, Freudenricht and Ronsolden. Around 1830 the place Klapfenberg comes to the then municipality Ronsolden. From 1947, Ronsolden was supplied with electricity, and in 1960 Ronsolden was connected to the Hörmannsdorf water supply. In 1972 the political municipality of Ronsolden is dissolved and the place is incorporated into the city of Velburg.
