The judicial district of St. Pölten is one of 24 judicial districts in Lower Austria and includes the city of St. Pölten and 25 communities in the district of St. Pölten . The District Court of St. Pölten is responsible for the judicial district, the higher court is the Regional Court of St. Pölten.

St. Pölten judicial district

history

On July 1, 2002, the District Court of Herzogenburg and with it the judicial district of Herzogenburg were closed , the judicial districts in the St. Pölten district were redistributed. The majority of the commoners of the former judicial district, namely Herzogenburg, Inzersdorf-Getzersdorf, Nussdorf ob der Traisen, Obritzberg-Rust, Statzendorf, Traismauer and Wölbling, were assigned to the judicial district of St. Pölten, Kapelln and Weißenkirchen an der Perschling came to the judicial district of Neulengbach . On the same date, the communities Böheimkirchen , Kasten bei Böheimkirchen , Michelbach and Stössing came from the judicial district of St. Pölten to the judicial district of Neulengbach.
