Höferänger is a district of the large district town of Kulmbach in the district of the same name in Bavaria .

geography

The Dobrach flows through the village . The Madelsbach flows into the Dobrach as the left and the Mäusbach as the right tributary. To the east is the Ziegelhüttener Forest with the heights of Buchrangen ( 477  m above sea level ) and Martersberg ( 492  m above sea level ). The federal highway 85 leads to Lösau (3.4 km northwest) or to Kulmbach to the federal highway 289 (2.4 km south). The district road KU 3 leads to Niederndobrach (0.7 km south-west). Communal roads lead to Biegersgut (0.4 km west) and Rosengrund (1.4 km west).

history

The place was first mentioned in 1290 as "Hoevelins". The place name means small courtyard. In 1398 the place was called "Hofleinsanger", in 1431 as "Hoeffer Anger", and in 1740 for the first time in its current form "Höfferänger".

Towards the end of the 18th century there were 13 properties in Höferänger. The high court was exercised by the Bavarian Bailiwick of Kulmbach . The village and township government had the box office Kulmbach held. The landlords were the Kastenamt Kulmbach (1 Tropfgütlein ), the Klosteramt Kulmbach (4 Söldengüter , 1 Tropfhäuslein, 1 Hofstatt), the Rittergut Oberdornlach (2 estates, 3 estates) and the Rittergut Wernstein (1 estate).

From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the justice and chamber office Kulmbach . With the community edict, Höferänger was assigned to the Oberdornlach tax district formed in 1811 and the Oberdornlach rural community formed in 1812 . As a result of the second community edict (1818), the place was re-incorporated into the newly formed rural community Unterdornlach . In 1955 this was dissolved. Unterdornlach with Bärnhof came to Oberdornlach, while Rosengrund was given from Oberdornlach to Höferänger, so that the community was made up of the districts Altenreuth , Biegersgut , Höferänger, Höfstätten , Niederndobrach , Rosengrund and Sackenreuth . It had an area of ​​6.304 km². On January 1, 1974, Höferänger was incorporated into Kulmbach as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .

Höferänger was originally parish to St. Peter in Kulmbach. From 1528 to 1740 the place was parish after St. Maria Magdalena (Kirchleus) and has been Protestant since then. Since 1740 he has been parish back to Kulmbach.
