The 21st EuroEyes Cyclassics 2016 was a German road bike race . The one-day race took place on Sunday , August 21, 2016 . This bike race started and ended in Hamburg on Mönckebergstraße with a length of 217.7 km . The route also ran through Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein . In addition, you had to complete three laps in Hamburg on the Waseberg, which is up to 15 percent steep on average . It was also part of the UCI WorldTour 2016 , where it was the 21st of a total of 28 races in this series.
Participating teams
The 18 UCI WorldTeams were automatically entitled to start . In addition, four UCI Professional Continental teams were invited.
Race result
The real winner was Nacer Bouhanni from Cofidis, Solutions Crédits from France . However, due to a handicap (dangling) in the sprint against Caleb Ewan, he was distanced to the end of the group with which he reached the finish.
